How long will do the programs go for?
Each student that we welcome into Mustard Seed Learning is special and unique and there is no set time of completion that suits all. Program length will be discussed with your tutor, and the best option for program duration will be offered.
Can you find out how my child’s level is for his/her age and grade in different areas for language and maths?
An assessment in:
- Phonological level -year P-3
- Basic reading –
- Basic comprehension
- Spelling
- Basic written expression
- Basic mathematics is available on request and in consultation with the learning director of MSL.
Do I need any special equipment for online learning?
You will require:
- A PC /laptop or iPad
- A reliable internet connection
- A headset is preferable
- A room with little or no distraction
- +Specialist (cost effective) equipment is always optional and suggested if necessary after consultation.
What is evidence-based instruction?

Evidence based instruction involves teaching where the use of techniques, methods and/or programmes have been rigorously tried, tested and shown to produce known and measurable results. Results are backed by science and data and takes the guessing out of the “will it work” question. Yes, it will work!
How is evidence-based instruction going to be fun and will my child want to go to their lesson?
All tutors at MSL are able to use evidence-based instruction in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, whilst at the same time be assured of results. No boredom zone’s here!
How can you be sure my child will learn?
At MSL our tutors are trained to continually assess and review to ensure continued learning and are provided with explicit instruction and teaching to ensue confidence in learning. Programs that are implemented by our tutors, use results driven methodology. If at any time, there are questions as to the effectiveness of learning, MSL will always employ a personal informed approach to ensure your child is on the right track.
How much to the programs cost and how long is a session?
- Each session may be allocated in 30 min or 45 min blocks.
- Cost of the session will depend on the size of the class and tutor experience:
